Evangelism
From CICM’s beginning our outreach has grown and now extends to 11 states of central and northern India, and the neighboring countries of Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal. Throughout CICM’s current focus area the Christian population is less than one percent!
To reach the vast numbers of Hindus, Muslims and followers of other religions, CICM has a team of dedicated evangelists who serve existing congregations and also regularly start new ministries in unreached areas. Every day the evangelists faithfully share God’s word with others; God is blessing their efforts as one-by-one people’s lives are changed by the truth of the Gospel message.
The Gospel Carriers team leads music and preaches at evangelistic crusades each year. CICM’s Prison Ministry visits prisons throughout India. Our prison minister not only preaches to the prisoners, but also provides follow-up through correspondence. Additionally he teaches and ministers to many family members of prisoners.
India is located within the 10/40 Window which is the rectangular area of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia between 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north latitude. The 10/40 Window is home to the majority of the world's unevangelized countries. The 10/40 Window is often called "The Resistant Belt" and includes the majority of the world's Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists. Visit www.joshuaproject.net for more information about the 10/40 Window.
