Short-Term Mission Trips
We encourage CICM partners and potential partners to visit CICM in India and see how God is working through this Mission. We know that you will benefit and be encouraged by seeing the work. Your presence will also encourage the believers in India.

Trips to visit CICM take place about five times each year. Including travel time, the trips last about ten to 12 days. The trips are scheduled one to two years in advance. Most trips are limited to 12 to 16 participants. We usually schedule trips January through March or during October and November. These are the best times to travel in the central part of India. CICM does not host trips during the summer months nor do we have an internship program. Our trips for 2009 are already scheduled and full. We have started scheduling trips for 2010 and 2011.

Participants may be asked to teach in a two to three day leadership seminar, preach at a worship service or evangelistic meeting, or teach a Sunday school class. There may be opportunities to visit and spend time at the children's home. You may also share in the weekly Children’s Food Project at the Mission campus by teaching a short lesson or distributing rice, lentils and vitamins to the children. Women visiting CICM may be invited to share a devotion at the local Women’s Fellowship.

Each year people from supporting churches who have given funds for a major project are scheduled to visit to see the results of their support and visit all areas of the Mission. Priority is given to these churches and groups. Mission trips to CICM do not involve building projects.

CICM usually schedules two trips each year for medical and dental personnel to help CICM’s Medical department. We coordinate the medical trips through FAME and the LEAP Foundation. Trip participants will need to get a Tourist Visa prior to leaving the United States. During your trip to India you will have the opportunity to tour some of India’s historic sites. In Delhi you may visit the Qatb Minar, a tower built in the 13th century. At Agra you will visit the Taj Mahal and possibly the Agra Fort. You will have time for shopping in Delhi as well as visiting some cottage industries in Agra.
